Let me take this opportunity to tell you about a unique product, patented all over Europe. It is a glass fingernail file, and it comes from The Czech Republic. WHY A GLASS FILE? It is an elegant, gentle nail care product with qualities that are demonstrably superior to those of other files. Let me tell you some of them:

The filing surface is extremely fine, but at the same time, uniform and dense. This combination enables you to file with a much lighter touch. Filing with a fine file and a light touch helps eliminate the tiny tears at the ends of your nails, which eventually lead to layering, splitting, and chipping.

The file surface will not change with use. The file surface is created by grinding INTO the glass to create the filing surface...it does not have grains or granules piled on top of the file. The GLASS is the filing surface, and it is harder than your nails.

The file surface is extremely easy to maintain because it is not harmed by contact with water or other liquids, even disinfecting products. It can be repeatedly boiled, sterilized, or simply washed with water or in a dishwasher.

If, after several months of use, the file appears to be less sharp than when it was new, it is not because the glass is wearing down...it is because the file is filling up with nail residue. Simply boil it for about 20 minutes to remove the nail residue.

The glass nail file is chemically hardened, which makes it resistant to breakage with normal use. It is, however, still glass, so please take the same care with it as you would with your eyeglasses. Each file comes in a protective sleeve, and I recommend keeping it in the protective sleeve when it is not being used. Should the product break (due to an exaggerated bend or fall on a hard surface), the edges are almost always blunt, practically eliminating the possibility of an injury.

After being submerged in water, the file may be used on artificial nails, regardless of their material.
